                              Breaking the Rules

At the park ground, I was standing in the side then suddenly my friends invited me to go to food chain. “Hey Lester, let’s go! It’s been a couple of weeks since we go out.” She’s right it’s been a couple of weeks since we hang out, and so I have to make my decision if I will go with them or I will go on the garden. Garden makes me happy, my friends too. But it’s once in a year so I said no, which makes them mad.
“Isn’t wrong if I will not go with them?” I thought, as my friends go far away from me. There is something that made me confused. I will go there in the garden or I will chase them? And there is something flashed back on my mind, that the new garden makes the person more relaxed. I choose to go to a peaceful place than to go with my nutcase friend.  As I run faster to ride on a jeepney, there is someone who call me. I ignored him. It took me so long, but then I was able to go to the garden before it close. I take a deep breath before I go inside the garden. “Finally I’m here!” I thought to myself.
I looked out at the sea of flowers. It was a beautiful and colorful garden that can fulfill your eyes. There is a sign who thought that you can’t pick any flowers inside the garden. The smell of sampaguita filled the garden. When I go in other area, I saw beautiful color red roses. I was amazed when I saw that because it reminds me of something. “I hope I can get some of it.” I thought.

As the time goes by, I look to my surroundings if there is someone who looking at me secretly and I found nothing, so I pick some red roses and put it in my bag. After that when I’m in my home, I put the red roses in my old, yellow book, with a love letter to make the book romantic. I tell to my mom on what happen to me. Afterwards, I felt a little bit of guilt on what I did but it makes me happy on what my decision’s result.

                        How I accomplish my goals

I remember, during my Elementary days, I was asked by my adviser to join the “Slogan contest” in our year level. Even if I’m not so sure with my skills, I accepted her offer and decided to give it a try since it might be one of my greatest accomplishment. The days went by and I took coaching sessions with my art teacher and I felt more confident to win the contest. As the day goes by, I have an allotted time to prepare and practice making slogan because I grew persistent in winning the contest. This contest helped me in managing my time because I don’t just focus on doing the slogan but I’m also doing my responsibilities in our house and as a student by finishing my other projects and home works. The day of the competition came and I was nervous when I went to my designated area, I've started making my slogan with the theme of “My Teacher, My Hero!” I put a quotation that inspired me about teachers. After the competition, I felt so happy because I was able to get the 1st place in our year level. I believe I have achieved my goal to represent our class and make all my hard work paid off.

I accomplish my goals by being responsible when doing everything and being hard working.  By being responsible in doing the tasks that was given to me, it helped me handle tough situations and become a decision maker.Accomplishing goals is not easy if a person won’t put his mind in doing it. It’s important to be persistent and hardworking in doing the steps to accomplish goals because if one doesn't have an action plan, the accomplishment won’t be possible. It’s in the commitment of the person to the tasks to make the goal reachable.

Access Scholar

We only know what the scholarship is, but some of us are not familiar with the word access scholarship. Okay, let us started. Access MicroScholarship Program or known as Access Scholarship, is a scholarship which is about teaching English language to those scholars. There is so much thing to do here so that the scholars will know how to create a sentence or a paragraph without worrying about the usage of grammar. As a scholar you have to be responsible in any aspect of it. And when you say scholar there's so much thing that they have to expect on you, like you have to maintain your high grades and etc. Last meeting we tackled about the blog, about how to make a blog, and what are the rules when you are making a blog. After that, we make a blog using pens, papers, and of course with the use of our creativity. And after that I learn how to create a blog without an internet or whatever.

As a scholar of this program, I just want to say thanks to those sponsors of it, because I am one of the 40 luckiest students who belong in this once in a life time program. So I will do everything to make every activity become best. SOAR HIGH ACCESS SCHOLARS!!!
